So I haven't put much up on here in a while but I really dont think that's broken anyone's heart
But, in the spirit of keeping this currentish let's go over some of the more recent highlights.

1. Got a widescreen monitor finally! WOOT! 19" from hanns G, best reviewed monitor on newegg so even though its not a 20 inch, I'm not complaining. Looks awesome too

2. Because of this, I've made some widescreen fractals so anyone who needs a widescreen bg feel free - thats why I started making the things

3. Yes, these are probably fairly standard but I am not really an artist, I make these for fun not for approval, and being an electrical engineer and writer before being any sort of visual artist often relegates the expansion of my fractal creating skills to the back burner, sadly. I'm working on it though, we'll see what happens

4. Upgraded to the 2.06 release of apo, it runs WAY faster on my computer, like seriously, I'm down from hours to 15 minutes for each render, and I've been rendering them bigger and in higher quality too, I dont know what the change was but apparently the old apo couldnt take advantage of my dual core, or something, because 4 hours --> 10 minutes is one hell of a difference for the same image. Oh, and the fractals are way cooler too

5. Any engineers out there (Anyone? I worry DA is an engineering-deficient community), please, verify for me the hatred I hold for advanced numerical applications. I have a single credit course from 7:30PM to 9:30PM for which I spend more time doing homework out of class than any of my 3-4 credit classes. That's not right! Freakin Gaussian elimination - there is a reason MATLAB has a matrix inversion command, it's called '.^-1', christ...

The Orange box came out! FINALLY! Days of entertainment are at my fingertips!!!

Or... half of one. I beat Portal in two and a half hours and HL2 Episode 2 in a little over 6... go figure. Still, was a blast, and I'll probably beat them again about six more times before I'm through. Both of those games were absolutely amazing, and Team Fortress 2 is great too, which has the advatage of being multiplayer - I played in the beta for quite a while, so this will have to be my next conquest.

I play a Medic, though, so I don't really do the conquering myself... I'm more of an enabler, you know?

Portal was quite possibly the most enthralling game I've ever played, though - makes you think - in more ways than one - and it makes you laugh. Never before has a computerized voice been quite so funny. In honor of all that I made a couple Portal-themed submissions - my first ever iPod commercial ripoffs, plus a design I am going to have put on a T-shirt, because... I freakin HAVE to!

Rest in peace, dear companion cube...

And as for you Striders - go straight to hell. I've got the Mangnusson devices, and I'm comin' for ya...

My group thingie!

So! I just got done uploading a full 13 flames, and putting them all into submissions one after another. So I more than doubled my gallery - sweet! Of course I was pretty damn tired by the time I put in the last one... I've been making one or two a day for the past week and since I've been doing them all on my desktop which currently lacks internet access I never submitted any of them.

Gotta hate that backup...

So anyway. I made all of the new ones on my desktop, sized at about 1280x1024 so they're awesome for desktop wallpapers, while the older ones were flatter since they were made on the laptop. I think fractals make the best wallpapers, personally, so there you are. Thats why I got into them originally. Now I just make em for fun.

What else... Oh! I'm done with work for the summer so thank god for that, I plan to sleep in till noon on Monday if I can, then the rest of the week is gonna be taken up by getting ready to leave for school on the next weekend, go figure, but hey - I like my school. And getting away from the parentals is always good too.

To everyone else, those of us headed to college, those of us who are about to fry (our brains anyway) salute you!

So, Ive had this account for a while, put up some writings, they were... ill or not at all received, hehe...

Anyways! I am going to try and start putting some things up here, mostly fractal art I imagine, as an engineering student and thorough failure at hand drawing but an advanced mathematician, it seems the way to go.

Plus, fractals are freakin' awesome.

Thanks to toxicintensity for the tips, some stuff shes made for me now and in the past, and for being amazing *winks*

Anywho! Time to get into this DA thing for real, geez...
